本標準規定了配線系統元件的分類。根據配線系統的能力分為：

耐火測試
電纜放在電纜架上，然后懸吊在一個混凝土樓板下面，面對火源燃燒120分鐘。在此過程中，
電纜是通電的，需要監測電路的回路通暢與否。緊接著，樣板又會安裝到噴淋設備上，噴水
3分鐘，也需要監測電路是否通暢。
沖擊切割測試
電纜被設定在三種不同的溫度環境下進行撞擊測試，需要監控電路是否通暢。使用專用刀具進行逐步加壓切割測試，記錄切斷電路的最大力量。
